Hello! My Name is Sara
I'm a graphic designer based in Parker, Colorado. My specialties include branding, digital design, logo design, and print design. I work with clients to create visuals that elevate brands and resonate with audiences. I primarily work with individuals, nonprofits, and small business owners.
As a seasoned graphic designer, I have over 8 years of work experience in the field. I have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design principles. Throughout my career, I've obtained several graphic design certifications to improve my skills. My experience spans a diverse range of industries, which allows me to bring a unique perspective to every project I work on.
Although I have almost a decade of experience, graphic design wasn't always on my radar. My graphic design journey began after graduating from college. Because I was fresh out of school, I didn't have much work experience. One of the first jobs I had was working for a Houston furniture store as a marketing assistant. My job consisted of assisting the marketing director with daily tasks, such as taking pictures of new inventory and uploading products to the e-commerce site.
As I began to feel comfortable in this role, I was given more responsibility along the way. One day, I was introduced to Adobe Photoshop. At the time, I had no experience working with editing software programs and felt a bit overwhelmed when I opened it for the first time. Over the years, however, I fell in love with the software. I learned how to master the program and a handful of others, including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Premier.
Before venturing into my graphic design career, I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. I majored in entrepreneurship and international business and minored in Spanish. I studied abroad in Mendoza, Argentina during my second to last semester.
After graduating from college, I held several marketing and graphic design jobs before starting my own graphic design business. I started freelancing as a graphic designer in 2020 and officially launched Sara Turbyfill Design 2 years later. When I'm not behind the computer screen, I enjoy birdwatching, wildlife photography, and traveling around the great state of Colorado in my teardrop camper. I'm also a Certified Professional Photographer and have a photography business called Sara Turbyfill Photography.
